Crochet Pillow Sham
This crochet pillow cover is designed to fit a standard size bed pillow and is meant to be decorative. Coordinate your colors and crochet a gorgeous, textured crochet pillow sham to add your very personal touch to your home decor.
The pattern is easily customizable to fit your particular size pillows.
Crochet Alpine Stitch
The alpine stitch is known for it’s elegant finished look. Combined with the ombre yarn here the end result is just gorgeous. You can absolutely use a solid color as I did in the crochet pillow cover shown below.
I used the alpine stitch on an 18 x 18 decorative cushion cover in a gold, slightly shiny yarn. It looks SO unbelievably luxurious! The photo does not do it justice.
The crochet alpine stitch is made up of double crochets and front post double crochet stitches. Do not be intimidated by the front post double crochet. It is super easy! Watch the video below (on the YouTube platform please) for step by step directions.

This is the best way that you can support my crochet work (most of which is provided at no cost to you!). These designs, patterns and videos take quite a LOT of time, effort and work to produce. This is still my only source of income (yikes!) so I rely on viewers/readers/buyers, like you, so I can continue to create new designs for YOU. I love what I do so much and I appreciate you all more than I can express!!!

Row 7: repeat row 3
Row 8: repeat row 4
Row 9: repeat row 3
Row 10: repeat row 6 Continue in this pattern for a total of 20 fpdc rows. It is easier to count the fpdc rows diagonally. End on a sc row. Tie off.
BACK PANELS
You will work two separate panels; a longer panel and a shorter panel. Both panels have the same row count.
Large Panel
Ch 66 (no multiple needed; you may use any stitch count to fit your pillow)
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from the hook and in ea ch for 65 sc’s. Ch 1. Turn
Row 2 – 51: Sc in 1st sp and in ea sp. 65 sc’s. Ch 1. Turn.
At the end of the last row cut off yarn.
Small Panel
Ch 25
Follow pattern for the large panel working with 24 sc’s per row. Work the same number of rows.
ATTACH PANELS
Place panels right sides facing each other; wrong side facing you. The large back panel overlaps the small back panel by a few inches. Situate the panels so they fit properly over the front panel.
With yarn needle and length of yarn, seam along all four sides. Seam through the three layers when you reach those sections.
