FREE PATTERN and VIDEO are below for this crazy cool crochet spring poncho.
This crochet spring poncho uses #3 sport weight yarn for a comfortable year-round crochet poncho.
The basic stitches make this a fast and easy crochet project. You will learn how to change colors in the row and learn how to easily carry the yarn along the row invisibly.
The video tutorial is below and available on YouTube. As this is my only source of income, your support (by subscribing and not skipping the ads) is truly appreciated!
The printable pattern for this crochet spring poncho will also be available at my Etsy shop. Again, your support is so much appreciated!! The Etsy pattern contains more detail and more photos.

ATTACH PANELS
Shorter stripes are the drop shoulders, longer stripes are at the center.
AT SIDES: With panels right sides together, wrong side facing you, use yarn needle and length of white yarn to seam along the sides. You may seam as much or as little as you prefer. For the example in the photos I seamed beginning 12 inches from the shoulder for a 4 inch closure. This leaves a very long armhole opening and most of the side open.
AT CENTER (neck opening): With panels right sides together, wrong side facing you, use yarn needle and length of white yarn to seam from bottom up along the center to create the neck opening. Again, you may make the opening as short or long as you prefer. For the example in the photos I measured 15 inches from the bottom up. This created a very long neck opening.
FRINGE
Using any object to get 4 inch lengths of yarn (I used a pack of gum), wind yarn around aprox 20x. Cut along the bottom. Repeat as necessary to get enough lengths of yarn, using 3 per tassel, to cover the front and back bottom.
Take 3 lengths of yarn and fold in half. With poncho right side up, insert hook from wrong side, grab the yarn onto hook, pull through the space forming a loop large enough to pull the yarn though as shown in photo. With hook, pull the tail ends through loop.
