Gauge: 16 esc and ch 1 = 4 inches , “set” of mesh and esc/sc rows = 4 inches Note: yarn used here is very stretchy. Gauge may vary per yarn used.
Dimensions Size Small: 36 inch length from shoulder to bottom / back width 20 inches / one front panel 10 inches wide.

Esc = extended single crochet

Extended Single Crochet: Begin as for a single crochet with 2 loops on hook; yo, pull through 1st loop on hook; yo, pull through 2 loops on hook.
Single Crochet Decrease:
Insert hook in sp to begin a sc for 2 loops on hook; insert hook in next sp to begin a sc; 3 loops on hook. YO, pull through all 3 loops. This forms a decrease.
FRONT PANEL (make 2)
Ch 147 (157, 167, 167, 177, 177)
Note: Foundation chain determines length from shoulder to bottom.
Ch 147 = 36” long
Chain 157 = 39” long
Chain 167 = 42’ long
Chain 177 = 45” long

Small: Work front panel for a total of 3 sets then end with 4 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
Medium: Work for a total of 4 sets then end with 4 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
Large: Work for a total of 5 sets then end with 4 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
XLarge: Work for a total of 5 sets then end with 6 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
1X: Work for a total of 6 sets then end with 8 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
2X: Work for a total of 7 sets then end with 8 sc rows (this includes the last sc row of the last set.)
BACK PANEL
CH 147 (157, 167, 167, 177, 177)
Work the same pattern as for front panel adjusting number of sets as follows:
Small – 7 sets
Medium – 8 sets
Large – 9 sets
XLarge– 9 sets
1X – 10 sets
2X = 11 sets
End with 2 (2, 2, 4, 6, 6) sc rows. The number of sc rows here should match the number of sc rows at the beginning of the back panel.
SLEEVES (make 2)
Ch 51 (59, 67, 75, 87, 99)
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch. 50 (58, 66, 74, 86, 98) sc. Ch 2 T
Row 2: sk 1st st, *ESC in next st, ch 1, sk 1*. Rpt from * to * entering last ESC in last st.Row 3: ESC in 1st st; *ch 1; ESC into the next ESC below*; repeat from * to * entering last ESC into last st. Ch 2. T
Row 4: Repeat Row 3 for a 17 (18, 19, 21, 23, 23) inch long sleeve or to preferred length. Allow for an additional 3 inch drop sleeve at shoulder. At end of last Esc row, ch 1. Turn
Last Row: Work ScDec over the first two st’s; *ScDec over the next two st’s*. Repeat from * to * to end. Cut off yarn.
SEAMS
With wrong sides facing you, place front and back panels together. Seam shoulders using yarn needle, length of yarn and whip stitch.
With wrong sides facing you, seam sleeve to body using whip stitch. Find center of top of sleeve and position at shoulder seam.
Using same method, seam at side edges working from bottom up along the edge and along the sleeves.
BOTTOM BORDER
With front side of garment facing you, attach yarn with hook in space at bottom edge, at the end of the center border, with a chain. Work 1 row of sc’s evenly spaced along the bottom edge until you reach the opposite center border. Tie off yarn.
SCARF Follow pattern for sleeve working in extended single crochets, beginning with a foundation chain of 15. Work in pattern for your preferred length.
