crochet top for women

Prior to seaming, weave in tails. Weave along strands of body, not along the edges.

With wrong sides facing up, find center of body panel and center of bottom of sleeve panel. Attach st marker.

Using yarn needle, length of yarn, and a whip st, seam from right edge to end of row

Repeat with 2nd panels.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Turn 2nd body panel so the colors align; pink edge rows of front and back panels; yellow edge rows of front and back panels. This panel is still wrong side facing up. Turn panel “upside down”.

SEAM SHOULDER/SLEEVE

Determine the width of the neck opening to your preference. Attach st markers. Seam top of sleeves/shoulder using same method as previous seaming.

SEAM SIDES/BOTTOM OF SLEEVES

Seam sides and bottom of sleeves.

SCALLOP BORDER

Work a scallop border along the bottom edge of garment and along the bottom of ea sleeve as follows:

With right side facing up, attach main color (pink) at a seam with a ch. Work a hdc into the same st.

*Sk next st; work a 5 hdc cluster into the next st; sk next st; 1 hdc in next st*. Repeat around the entire hem. At end of row, sl st into the 1st hdc.

NOTE: Adjust skipping of spaces as needed so the scallops do not bunch up.

Cut off yarn. Weave in tail.
