SHOULDER and SIDE SEAMS

Use two strands of yarn (for more stability to the seams), yarn needle and whip stitch.

Working with wrong sides facing you, place front panel(s) on top of back panel positioning tops of panels at shoulders.

Do not seam the center curve. Measure from the end of the last row to leave 4 inches unseamed (white arrow). Seam from the yellow arrow toward and down the shoulder curve and continue down the side stopping the seaming at approximately Row 115.

Then resume the side seam at around Row 90, or 4 – 5 inches below Row 100. This will create the armhole opening.

COLLAR

Rows 1 – 5: Using smaller hook and using a tight tension, with right side facing you, attach yarn at the beginning of the last row of the front panel. For the first row only, work in the BLO of the “chain” st’s. Sc in ea st around the neck (ch 1 and turn at end of ea row). Continue to work for 5 rows of sc’s.

Rows 6 14: Work scdec’s at beginning and end of ea row with sc’s in remaining sp’s along ea row. Tie off.

Collar Ties (make 2)

Ch 36. Sl st into ea ch. Attach at INSIDE of collar, near the edge.

BORDER

With front side facing you, work one single crochet row along center edge of each front panel. Attach yarn at bottom and work up to the collar. Do not add border to the collar.

With right side facing you work one row of sc evenly spaced along the armhole edges. Tie off.
