Crochet Easy Spring Summer Top
Crochet this easy spring summer top. FREE CROCHET PATTERN and VIDEO is below! Beginners and experienced crocheters will love the simplicity of this lightweight crochet spring to summer top.
To make this pattern even more fun I added a band of front post double crochet stitches in a spring palette of baby greens and blues.
If you don’t know the front post double crochet stitch, you can watch the video below to learn. It’s SO easy but packs a punch of interest!
For those that prefer to work from a printed pattern, I’ve got you covered! This pattern will be available at my Etsy shop: CrazyCoolCrochetUS.etsy.com
Please view the video below and subscribe by clicking the little red button on the bottom of the video. As you may or may not know, my little crochet business is currently my only source of income. At this point it is still a newer blog and YouTube channel which means zero dollars from YouTube ads (not yet allowed to monetize…but getting SO close!), and still very nominal income from this blog and the Etsy shop. Soooo, if you enjoy my patterns you would really be helping me out by watching the video all the way through (viewed hours are crucial) and subscribing. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
Pattern is for a size Small.
For larger sizes, add to beginning chain in multiples of 2 plus 4. For example: ch 67 + 6 (three multiples of 2) + 4 = 77 chains for size medium.
77 + 6 + 4 = 87 sz Large
87 +6 + 4 = 97 sz XLarge
And add additional rows for preferred length.

How many chains for a size large
Thank you for the question Barbara. For size large start with 87 chains. I will add this detail to the pattern above.

What are the bust measurements for the various sizes,?
Thank you!
Sharon Williams
Hi Sharon,
Thank you so much for your question.
Since the end product varies greatly due to tension, yarn used, hook used, etc., I hesitate to give actual dimensions. I’ll give the dimension of the size I made for the tutorial as a general example, not necessarily as an exact size chart.
I usually say that you can start with the suggested numbers for the size you need, and then hold it up against yourself to check the fit and adjust sizing as needed.
I hope this helps. Thank you so much for visiting!

I would like to make this by using a DK weight yarn in cotton. Do you think there will be a bit difference in chain length? Thank you!
Hi Ruth,
I am so sorry I was not able to reply timely. I’ve been dealing with a major family health emergency.
I hope you were able to continue with the pattern.
As I understand it, DK weight is the same as #3 so it should have been fine.
