So easy! Front and back panels are identical with no increasing or decreasing! Perfect for beginners!

Women’s Size Small

For larger sizes, add to beginning chain in multiples of 3, plus 4 (for turning chains). And add additional rows for preferred length.

Dimensions:

For size small shown – 19.5 inches from shoulder to bottom. 16 inches wide at waist.

This cotton yarn is very drapey and stretchy.

Materials:

Cotton yarn – 12.25 oz (or 3.5 skeins), brand used here: I Love This Cotton, color Warm Blush

Crochet hook size H

Gauge: 3 hdc = 1”, 3 rows (2 hdc + 1 sc)= 1”

Work two identical panels. No increases or decreases. Stitch same number of stitches for all rows.

Ch 67

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk one ch, sc in next ch*. Repeat from * to * to last three ch’s. Ch 1, sc in ea of last two ch’s. Ch 2. Turn

Row 2:(see photos above) hdc in middle of 1st sc below, *ch 1, hdc in middle of next sc*. Repeat from * to * to last sc. Ch 1, sk last sc, hdc in turning ch. Ch 1. Turn

Row 3: (see photos above) Sc in 1st sp below, *ch 1, sc in next sp*. Repeat from * to * to last sp. Do not ch, sc in last sp, sc in turning ch. Ch 2. Turn

Repeat rows 2 and 3 for total of 55 rows (27 hdc rows), ending with sc row.

Work 2 rows of sc’s evenly along ea side of panel. Aprox 52 sc’s.

Attach Panels:

Turn panels right sides together. Attach at shoulders with yarn needle with slip st for aprox 4” from edge working toward center.

Attach at sides ending 9” below shoulder with yarn needle and sl st’s to bottom.

Sleeves:

Photos above. Working right side out, insert hook at sleeve hole bottom opening at seam.

Row 1: sl st to join yarn, sc in same st, hdc in next sp and ea sp around. Sl st to join beg sc.

Row 2: ch 1, sc in 1st st, *ch 1, sk 1, sc in next st, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Sl to join.

Row 3: ch 2, hdc in top of 1st sc, *ch 1, hdc in top of next sc, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Sl to join.

Row 4: ch 1, sc in 1st sp, sc in top of 1st hdc, *sc in next sp, sc in top of hdc, sc in next sp*. Repeat from * to * to end. Sl to join.

Row 5: ch 2, hdc in middle of 1st sc, ch 1, sk 1, hdc in middle of next sc, ch 1, sk 1. Repeat to last sc, ch 1. Join with sl st.

Row 6: ch1, sc in 1st sp, *ch 1, sc in next sp, ch1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Join.

Row 7: ch 2, hdc in 1st sc, *ch 1, hdc in next sc, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Join.

Row 8: repeat Row 6

Row 9: repeat Row 7

Row 10: repeat Row 6

Row 11: repeat Row 7

Row 12: repeat Row 6

Row 13: ch 2, hdc in ea st (no ch’s in between)

Row 14: ch 1, sc in ea st (no ch’s in between)

Row 15: ch 2, hdc in 1st sc, *ch 1, hdc in next sc, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Join.

Row 16: ch 1, sc in ea st to end (no ch’s in between). Join

Row 17: ch 2, hdc in 1st sc, *ch 1, hdc in next sc, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * to end. Join.

Row 18: ch 1, sc in ea st (no ch’s in between) Join

Rows 19 – 24 repeat rows 17 and 18.

Row 25: ch 2, hdc in ea st (no ch’s in between) Join

Row 26: ch 1, sc in ea st (no ch’s in between). Tie off

Repeat for 2nd sleeve.

What measurements do the small fit? And wht would the length of the chain need to be for M-L-XL… what are the best measurements for S-M-L-XL?

Hi, Sylvia! So the medium would fit bust 35-37 and a large 38-40? Do you measure under the bust or across the bust?
