Crochet Beginner Friendly
This is a very easy crochet pattern and crochet beginner- friendly. It is made with two identical panels. No increases or decreases. Gentle, drop shoulders and a slightly open weave make this a perfect crochet summer top or crochet summer tee. The V neck adds interest and keeps you comfortably cool.
And for even more interest….you crochet this horizontally and wear it vertically. Cool eh? The vertical lines make give the simple stitches a totally unique and really interesting look.
Add a chunky necklace and bracelet or summery scarf to dress it up and make it even more special!
Add to your Craft Fair Inventory
This design takes relatively little yarn and is fast and easy to work up. Add this to your craft fair inventory and draw crowds to your table! Wear one of these crochet summer v neck tees to draw attention and act as a live mannequin. Use various summer colors and make a few different sizes. I predict you’ll be taking additional orders!

ATTACH PANELS
Front
Place panels right sides together, wrong side facing you. Using yarn needle and length of yarn, use a whip stitch to attach for the center seam. Insert hook into only one strand of ea panel. Determine where you want the neck opening to be. To obtain the size pictured, seam from the bottom up for 12.5 inches. You may opt for a smaller neck opening by seaming as far up as you prefer.
Back
Repeat as for the front.
NOTE FOR SIDE SEAMS: To create a nicer finished look, insert hook into the outside strands only. See photo above.
Sides
Using same method as for the center seam, determine the size of the arm opening you prefer. For the pictured example (for a smaller arm hole) seam from the bottom up for 13 inches. Adjust as preferred. For a larger opening, create a shorter side seam.
Weave in ends as needed.
